FASHION
- By mid decade, go-go boots were worn with hot pants or miniskirts.
- Women wore granny dresses and chunky shoes or peasant skirts.
- Belly bottomed jeans, love beads, embellished t-shirts and unisex dressing was VERY popular during the 60s.
- All type of clothing were purchased at boutiques.
- For women, it was required in most public places to wear knee-length dresses.
- Women's hair was long and lanky or very short and had bouffant hairstyles.
- The mens hair became wider and longer. They began the crew cuts on mens hair.
- Black people wore their hair in an afro type of style.
- Men would wear casual shirts which were most of the time buttoned down the front and plaid.
- Guys mostly dressed in bright colors, polyester pants suits with Nehru jackets, double breasted sports jackets and turtlenecks.
- By the end of the decade, men would wear ties which were up to 5'' wide.

- The cost of a new car was an average of $2,752.
- Gas was VERY cheap! only 31 cents per gallon.

- TV was in black and white
- Television in the 60's was unique compared to what it is today.
- We only had 3 channels ABC,CBS and NBC.
- Some popular TV shows were: The Flintstones, Alvin and the chipmunks and Rocky and his friends.
- Didn't have any idea of what TV cable was.
- In 1969 the TV show Sesame Street First airs.

- The first championship between NFL-AFL took in 1967 but in 1969 was named Super Bowl.
- Three Olympic games were held during the sixties.
- US won Gold metals in Basketball, free style swim, 100m and 200m track and field.
- In 1964 US Track and Field team won another gold metal.
- The US ice hockey team won the gold metal in the Olympics of the 1960s.
